Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra is an engineering and technical institute of higher education located near Ranchi, in the state of Jharkhand, India. It awards its own degrees to graduating students, and is a deemed University under the UGC Act, 1956. Since its inception on the main campus in Mesra, extension centres were established in Ras-al-Khaimah and Muscat.
