Robert Moretti (born Detroit, Michigan, June 3, 1936; died Sacramento, California, May 12, 1984). His parents were Mary and Marino Moretti. His father was born in Ovindoli, Italy; and his mother was of Armenian descent. Moretti was a Democratic California politician. He served in the California State Assembly (1965–74) representing the 42nd District and serving as Speaker of the Assembly (1971–74).
