Brampton Transit (BT) is public transport bus operator for the City of Brampton in the Regional Municipality of Peel, and within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Ontario, Canada. Brampton Transit began operations in 1974.In May 2005, a major upgrade occurred that put more routes into a grid pattern. In 2006 Brampton Transit became Canada's fastest-growing transit system in terms of ridership.
