Bridget Turner (22 February 1939 – 27 December 2014) was an English actress, born in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire).She worked with a number of actors including Peter O'Toole, Elizabeth Taylor, Kirk Douglas, Bernard Blier, Trevor Howard, Bernadette Lafont, Richard Burton and Christina Ricci.On 8 May 2009 John Cleese stated in an interview that Bridget was originally offered the part of Sybil Fawlty in Fawlty Towers back in 1974.
