Bruce Sweeney is a Canadian film director. Born in Sarnia, Ontario, he won the 2002 Canadian Comedy Award for Pretty Funny Film Direction for the film Last Wedding. He has since directed American Venus, and Excited. His upcoming film The Dick Knost Show has been selected to be screened in the Contemporary World Cinema section at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
