Cairo (/ˈkɛəroʊ/ KAIR-oh) is a village in Allen County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 524. It is included in the Lima Metropolitan Statistical Area. As indicated above, the village's name is pronounced differently from the English name for the Egyptian city having the same spelling: listen.
