Lera Catharine "Cathy" Cox (born 1958) is a Georgia politician, a member of the Democratic Party, the former Secretary of State of Georgia, and a candidate for Governor of Georgia in 2006. In March 2007, she was chosen as the 21st president of Young Harris College.Cox is not related to a Republican politician with a similar name, former Georgia Superintendent of Schools Kathy Cox.
