The chain catshark or chain dogfish (Scyliorhinus retifer) is a small, reticulated shark that has a characteristic biofluorescent activity. The species is common from George’s Bank in Massachusetts, to Nicaragua. The species is considered harmless and is rarely encountered by humans. It has very similar reproductive traits to Scyliorhinus canicula.
