Chiny is a Walloon municipality of Belgium located in the province of Luxembourg. On 1 January 2007 the municipality, which covers 113.69 km2 (43.90 sq mi), had 5,021 inhabitants, giving a population density of 44.2 inhabitants per km².The name Chiny also refers historically to a former county, larger than the current municipality.
