"Control" is a song released by the post-grunge group Puddle of Mudd, as the first single off of their album Come Clean. It was released in July 2001 (see 2001 in music), "Control" is about vanity, and was written by Wes Scantlin and co-written by Brad Stewart formerly of Shinedown. The single was successful, peaking at #3 on the Mainstream Rock Chart and #3 on Modern Rock Charts and peak at #68 at the Billboard Hot 100 and brought Puddle of Mudd worldwide fame.
