David Berman is an actor and full-time researcher on the TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In the show he plays the role of Assistant Medical Examiner David "Super Dave" Phillips. The role was recurring at first, but, as of the tenth season, Berman has been promoted to a main character, appearing in the show's opening credits.Behind the scenes he also acts as head researcher on the show maintaining a long list of contacts in order to verify facts, research procedures and technologies.
