Dean Alan Wendt (born February 17, 1968 in Elgin, Illinois) is an American voice actor best known as the voice of Barney on the hit children's show Barney & Friends.Dean Wendt was a co founder/creator and Disc jockey on Radio Disney from 1994-1999 Season 4-11, but left the company in order to dedicate his time to voicing Barney the Dinosaur after Bob West was replaced in 1998.His voice has appeared in various other Barney media, such as concert tours around the world.
