Deepti Naval is an Indian actress, director, writer, painter, and photographer born in Amritsar, Punjab India. Her major contribution has been in the area of art cinema, winning critical acclaim for her sensitive and ‘close to life’ characters that emphasized the changing roles of women in India. She has acted in over 90 Hindi films.She made her debut with the movie Ek Baar Phir in the year 1979 and has acted in more than 60 films since then.
