The Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) is a trading fund of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom. Responsibility for it lies with the Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, currently Philip Dunne. Its board is chaired by Sir David Pepper.Its stated purpose is "to maximise the impact of science and technology for the defence and security of the UK."
