Devon Mathis is an American politician currently serving in the California State Assembly. He is a Republican representing the 26th district, encompassing parts of the Central Valley. Prior to being elected to the state assembly, he was a former Army sergeant and veterans advocate.Mr. Mathis, as of August 11, 2015, told constituents in Visalia, CA that he stands for stripping the marriage rights of US citizens and his constituents that were affirmed in Obergefell v. Hodges.
