Dilma Vana Rousseff (Brazilian Portuguese: [ˈd(ʒ)iwmɐ ˈvɐnɐ huˈsɛfⁱ] born 14 December 1947) is a Brazilian economist and politician currently serving as the 36th President of Brazil. She is the first woman to hold the office. She was previously the Chief of Staff of the President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva from 2005 to 2010.The daughter of a Bulgarian entrepreneur, Rousseff was raised in an upper middle class household in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
