Disco Shanti is an Indian film actress and an "item song dancer" who worked predominantly in South Indian cinema. Shanti has also worked in several Hindi language movies apart from appearing in movies made in other Indian regional languages. She was noticed mainly for her erotic roles and mainly appeared for item numbers in songs. Shanti was also introduced as a heroine in several Tamil movies. She was not successful as an actress and hence she turned to be an item girl again.
