Doğu Perinçek (born June 17, 1942 in Gaziantep) is a Turkish politician, lawyer and academic who has been chairman of the socialist Patriotic Party (Turkish: Vatan Partisi) since 1992. In August 2013 he was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment as part of the Ergenekon trials, but he was released in 2014.
