Donald Thomas "Don" Schaefer (born February 13, 1934) was an American football player. He was a first-team All-American fullback at Notre Dame in 1955.Schaefer was born in Pittsburgh and Central Catholic High School in that city. He then enrolled at the University of Notre Dame where he played college football at the fullback position for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team from 1953 to 1955.
