Doosan Engine started out in 1984 with an annual capacity of 200,000 bhp (150,000 kW) in large diesel engines for ships and power plants. Annual output now stands at 14 million bhp, and the company’s share of the world market has reached 25 percent. Doosan Engine achieved 50 million bhp in aggregate production after just twenty years, an industry record, and has built the world’s largest electronically controlled marine engine.
