Purgatory Resort is a family-oriented ski resort located in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado, 26 miles 26 miles (42 km) north of the town of Durango. For a time it was known as Durango Mountain Resort until it came under new ownership in spring of 2015. The resort was then renamed back to the original Purgatory Resort.
