Edward Knowles (birth registered April–June 1868 — 29 June 1945 (aged 76–77)) birth registered in Waberthwaite, was a rugby union footballer of the 1890s, playing at representative level for England, and at club level for Millom, as a Forward, e.g. Front row, Lock, or Back row, he died in Skipton. Prior to the 1899–1900 season, Millom was a rugby union club.
