Exxaro Resources (formerly part of Kumba Resources) is a large coal and heavy minerals mining company in South Africa. The company operates facilities and offices in Africa, Asia, Europe and Australia. The company is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and at 31 December 2011, had assets of R37 billion and a market capitalisation of R60 billion.The company was formerly known as Kumba Resources Limited and changed its name to Exxaro Resources Limited in November 2006.
