FreeRDP is a free, open source client implementation of the proprietary RDP protocolbased on the Microsoft Open Specifications. It is released under the Apache License and available for Linux, OS X, Microsoft Windows, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD and Solaris. Since 2013 there are also Android and iOS ports available under the names aFreeRDP and iFreeRDP, respectively.FreeRDP was forked in 2009 from rdesktop.
