GNL Zamba, born Ernest .N. Zamba is a Ugandan hip hop artist under the label of Baboon Forest Entertainment and is considered to be one of East Africa's most influential artists. He pursued a professional music career in 2007 after completing a bachelor's degree in environmental science at Makerere University in Uganda. At first he was signed to Platinum Entertainment but after perceiving that he had potential, he formed Baboon Forest Ent.
