George Osborne (born Gideon Oliver Osborne; 23 May 1971) is a British politician and member of the Conservative Party who has been First Secretary of State since 2015, Chancellor of the Exchequer and Second Lord of the Treasury since 2010 and Member of Parliament (MP) for Tatton since 2001.Osborne worked for The Daily Telegraph before joining the Conservative Research Department and becoming head of its political section.
