The golden bowerbird (Prionodura newtoniana) is a species of bowerbird found in the rainforests above 700m of Atherton, Queensland in Australia. The golden bowerbird has a brown head and wings which are bright yellow-gold underneath, as are the tail, crest and nape.The golden bowerbird primarily feed on fruits, although they also eat flowers and certain insects, primarily beetles.During the mating season, the polygamous male tries to fertilise as many females as possible.
