Golegã (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɡɔlɨˈɣ̞ɐ̃]) is a small municipality in Santarém District in Portugal. The population in 2011 was 5,913, in an area of 84.32 km².The present Mayor is José Tavares Veiga da Silva Maltez, elected by the Socialist Party. The municipal holiday is Ascension Day.
