Heard County is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 census, the population was 11,834. The county seat is Franklin. The county was created on December 22, 1830.Heard County is included in the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell, GA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Heard County is the only county in Georgia that does not have a railroad.
