Heather Humphreys is an Irish Fine Gael politician and the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. She was elected at the 2011 general election as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cavan–Monaghan constituency.From Aghabog near Newbliss in County Monaghan, Humphreys was co-opted on to Monaghan County Council in 2003 and was twice re-elected in 2004 and 2009. She was elected as Mayor of Monaghan County Council in 2009.
