Humla District(Nepali: हुम्ला जिल्लाAbout this sound Listen , a part of Karnali Zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, with Simikot as its district headquarters, covers an area of 5,655 km² and had a population of 40,595 in 2001; in 2011 the population was 50,858. The Northern part of Humla District is inhabited by Buddhists, originating from Tibet, whereas the South is mostly inhabited by Hindus.
