Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati (IIT Tirupati) is an autonomous premier engineering and technology university located in Tirupati. It is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. It started functioning from August 5, 2015 in a temporary campus housed at Krishna Theja Educational Institutions in Chadalawada Nagar on the outskirts of the temple city.
