The interrupted rocksnail, scientific name †Leptoxis foremanii, is a species of freshwater snail with a gill and an operculum, an aquatic gastropod mollusk in the family Pleuroceridae.This species is endemic to parts of the Coosa River and its tributaries. It was formerly believed to be extinct, and remains classified as Extinct on the IUCN Red List. However, in 1997, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologist discovered one specimen in the Oostanaula River in Georgia.
