Islamic Azad University of Tabriz (Persian: دانشگاه آزاد اسلامی واحد تبریز‎‎, Dāneshgāh-e Āzād-e Eslāmi-e Tabriz) the branch of Islamic Azad University and was started in 1982. This university is located in Tabriz, capital of the East Azerbaijan in the north west of Iran. The university rankings conducted by Islamic World Science Citation Database, have gained in the years 2010 and 2011 ranked first among all Islamic Azad universities.
