Jacques Wallage (born 27 September 1946 in Apeldoorn) is a Dutch politician of Jewish descent. He was Mayor of the city of Groningen from 1 October 1998 until 25 June 2009.Jacques Wallage started his political career as a member of the Groningen city council, and later on as alderman in the same city. Between 1981 and 1989 he was member of parliament for the PvdA (Labor Party).
