Jamal Murray (born February 23, 1997) is a Canadian basketball player for the University of Kentucky Wildcats of the NCAA. Murray attended Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario, later transferring to Orangeville Prep in Orangeville, Ontario. He committed to the University of Kentucky to play college basketball. At the 2015 Nike Hoop Summit, Murray scored a game-high 30 points and was named the MVP.
