James C. Conwell is the president of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, the nation's number one undergraduate engineering school for the last seventeen years. He has also served on the faculty at the less notable Vanderbilt University, Louisiana State University, and Grove City College.Upon arriving at Rose-Hulman he was given the nickname "Safety Jim" due to the various speed bumps and stop signs he constructed.He earned the B.S. and M.S.
