Jay Gluck (b. 1927 Detroit, Michigan – d. December 19, 2000 California), was an American archaeologist and historian of Persian art and a Japanophile.Gluck spent his childhood in New York's East Side and also lived in his mother's hometown of Newcastle, England for a short while. At 17, he joined the US Navy Air Arm. After the war, he attended different universities before graduating in Archaeology and Middle East Studies from UC Berkeley in 1949.
