Jeffrey Scott Chiesa (/ˌkiːˈeɪzə/; born June 22, 1965) is an American lawyer and former politician who served as the Attorney General of New Jersey from 2012 to 2013 and as a U.S. Senator from New Jersey in 2013. Chiesa was sworn in as Attorney General on January 10, 2012. Prior to that appointment, he served as Chief Counsel to New Jersey Governor Chris Christie.
