John Berton Axford (born April 1, 1983), nicknamed "The Ax Man", is a Canadian professional baseball pitcher for the Colorado Rockies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has played in MLB for the Milwaukee Brewers, St. Louis Cardinals, Cleveland Indians, and Pittsburgh Pirates.Axford led the National League in saves in 2011, and won the Rolaids Relief Man Award that year.
