Joy Kristin Cheek (born June 25, 1988) is an American former professional women's basketball player in the WNBA and current assistant coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes women's basketball team. Joy was born in Hyattsville, Maryland and attended South Mecklenburg High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.She played college basketball at Duke University. One of 26 former Duke standouts to register over 1,000 career points, Cheek played in 137 contests in her four years.
