Karungulam is a village in Tamil Nadu, India. There are several villages in the same name of Karungulam in Tamil Nadu, but the village Karungulam where Vagulagiri Hill exists is a well known and famous one. After the bifurcation of Tirunelveli District this village has come under the jurisdiction of Tuticorin District.Lord Marthandeswara Temple is at the very entrance of this village, and so it is also called as Marthandam Karungulam.
