Kavi Kalash (died March 1689 CE, Tulapur) was an Indian Brahmin from Kanauj, a poet, and friend and personal advisor to Maratha king Sambhaji (reigned 1680-1689). Though liked by his king, Kavi Kalash was widely disliked by the Maratha aristocracy, who called him Kalusha - "instigator of strife".Kavi Kalash was captured, along with Sambhaji, by the enemy Mughal army in Sangmeshwar.
