Knut Andersen (born 9 May 1931) is a Norwegian film director. He was born in Harstad. He has directed a series of films, including Ballad of the Masterthief Ole Hoiland from 1970, and Den sommeren jeg fylte 15 from 1975. He received the Amanda Committee's Honorary Award in 2007.His 1969 film Scorched Earth was entered into the 6th Moscow International Film Festival where it won a Diploma.
