The Lancia Ypsilon is a supermini. It has been produced by Italian automaker Lancia since 1996. It is the replacement of the Y10 and is larger and more expensive. Between 1995 and 2005 Lancia produced more than 870,000 Ypsilons in the Melfi plant in the Potenza region.The third generation Ypsilon is sold as the Chrysler Ypsilon in the United Kingdom, Ireland & Japan. In March 2015, Fiat Group announced that in 2017, Chrysler would be axed in the United Kingdom.
