Malootty is a 1992 Malayalam dramatic film by Bharathan, starring Jayaram, Urvashi and Shamili (younger sister of Shalini). It is a Malayalam ripoff of the English movie Everybody's Baby: The Rescue of Jessica McClure, based on the true story of the rescue of 18-month-old Jessica McClure in a water well. It is set in the 1980s when a girl was trapped in a hole; she survived after many hours. The title drawings were done by Bharathan's son.
