Margaret M. Mitchell is an American scholar of Early Christianity. Mitchell, who was a student of Hans Dieter Betz and Robert M. Grant, received her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago in 1989 and currently serves at the same institution as Dean of the Divinity School and Shailer Mathews Professor of New Testament and Early Christian Literature.
