Margaret Potter, née Margaret Newman (born 21 June 1926 in Harrow, Middlesex, London, England – d.26 August 1998 in Oxford, England) was a British writer of over 55 Romance, mystery, children's novels. She signed her novels under her maiden and married name, and also under the pseudonyms of Anne Betteridge, Anne Melville and Margaret Evans.
