Marslander is a simple spacecraft simulation game of skill originally written on the BBC Micro for release on the Acorn Electron Introductory Cassette tape. It was written in order to demonstrate how to define and use "procedures" as implemented in the BBC BASIC programming language interpreter used on the BBC Micro and Acorn Electron computers. It was subsequently popular in schools in the UK, many of which used the BBC Micro for teaching computer science.
