Matthew J. Freeman is the protagonist of Anthony Horowitz's The Power of Five novels, Raven's Gate, Evil Star and one of the main characters in Necropolis. He also briefly appeared in the third book of the series, Nightrise. He was born in London, England, to an English mother and a father from New Zealand.
